Thanks for introducing me to the quote "A man’s maturity: that is to have rediscovered the seriousness he possessed as a child at play."Friedrich Nietzsche

Children strategizing comes to mind as I read this. I still see that focus when adults play competitive games, but it's not common in the business environment. I get it sometimes when I'm racing against the clock to finish an assignment. I'm scared of losing against the clock, but I'm also enjoying the challenge of pulling something off at the last minute. It's similar to the last few minutes of a sports game when the score is tied. Businesses have brought in humor, but "work hard, play hard" is still around. I'd like to see the boundary two blur more. Maybe it's the delivery method of the assignments that kills the motivation. I linked a game you might be interested in, it's about physics. It's available for the iPhone and iPod touch.

The link to launchball was awesome! I find it interesting that your students are into the game and maybe don't realize that their being taught through a simulation that's been tricked out to look like a game. I'm keeping this link as fooder for my creative work project!
